Obituary of Darryl HUYGHEBAERT

Darryl Huyghebaert of Glentworth, SK passed away with family at his side on August 2, 2014, at St. Paul’s Hospital, Saskatoon, SK, with amyloidosis, at the age of 72 years. He was born December 27, 1941 in Lafleche. He was the second of six children of Julius and Edith (McEwan) Huyghebaert. He received his early education in Fir Mountain and his high school in Glentworth. Darryl and Carol were married October 10, 1964. He was employed at S.S. Kresge Company from 1964-1978 in the communities of Regina, Brandon, Winnipeg, Prince Albert, Victoria, North Battleford and Kamloops. In October 1978 they bought the Glentworth Grocery Store and moved back to Glentworth. His interests in sports was evident at an early age. He played for a variety of ball, curling and bowling teams. He sold the store and went into the RV trailer hauling business, with Black Wolf Haulers. Later they retired and wintered in Arizona. Darryl is survived by his loving family, wife Carol Huyghebaert; son Darcy (Holly) Huyghebaert & grandsons Ty and Tyson; daughter Darrylyn Huyghebaert; four brothers, Delv (Delores) Huyghebaert, Jim (Phyllis) Huyghebaert, Dean (Jackie) Huyghebaert and Donnie Huyghebaert; sister Dulone (Ron) Jepson; two brothers-in-law, Don (Diane) Robertshaw and Ken (Conne) Robertshaw. Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fir Mountain Hall.
