Obituary of Claudette BRIERE
Claudette of Regina, SK passed away on October 1, 2014, at the age of 66 years. Claudette was born in Lafleche, SK on August 10, 1948. She was the fifth child born to Henri and Catherine Briere. She attended Wood Dale School, and completed her education in Saskatoon at the School for the Deaf. Claudette attended beauty college and became a hairdresser. After a few years she decided to change her occupation, and in
1975 began working for the post office in Saskatoon. In 1981, Claudette moved to Regina when a position opened at the post office there. Throughout her life Claudette continued to work with the School for the
Deaf, attending many conferences throughout Canada and making many lifelong friends and companions. Claudette enjoyed curling, and was a devoted Saskatchewan Roughrider fan. She loved attending the
games and cheering on her favorite team. Claudette was proud when she purchased a condo. There, she enjoyed spending time with her cats. Claudette loved family gatherings, and treasured time with her nieces and
nephews. Claudette will be dearly missed. Claudette is survived by her loving family, brother Robert (Lylia) Briere; brother John (Hinke) Briere; sister Lorraine (Arthur) Mokry; brother Emile (Patsy) Briere; sister
Terri (Robert) Myles; sister-in-law Susan Bouclin; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Henri and Catherine (nee Pitre) Briere; brother Peter Briere (1987); niece Sheri Briere (1995).
Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, October 25, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., at Ste Radegonde Roman Catholic Church, Lafleche, SK. Interment took place at the Lafleche Roman Catholic Cemetery.
