Obituary of Barry Patterson
Barry Grant Patterson of Lafleche, SK passed away on October 12, 2015, at the age of 58 years. Barry was born in Lafleche on December 12, 1956. He was the youngest of three children born to Russell and Jean Patterson. Barry grew up and attended school in Melaval, and graduated in Lafleche. He moved to Calgary in 1977 and became a journeyman carpenter. He married LeeAnne Jalbert and they were blessed with two children. Barry moved back to Lafleche in 1997 to be with his Dad. He worked as a carpenter for his own company, Adkoko Construction, which he named after his children. He also worked at Thomson Lake, and more recently for the Town of Lafleche. Barry was known for his sense of humor, willingness to help others, and his kind heart. He loved animals and throughout the years always had a dog as a companion. He enjoyed umping baseball, curling, and cheering for the Riders. Barry will be missed by everyone he knew, but mostly by his two children whom he was very close to. Barry is survived by his son Adam; daughter Nicole, step-mother Estelle Patterson, and a large extended loving family. Predeceased by his father Russell Patterson (2007) and mother Jean (nee MacDonald) Patterson (1967). Graveside Funeral Service was held on Saturday, October 17, 2015, at 4:00 p.m., at the Melaval Cemetery, with Reverend Linda Tomlinson-Seebach officiant. Urn bearers were Adam and Nicole. Special memories and words of remembrance we shared by Adam. Honorary pallbearers were "All those that shared in Barry’s life.”
