Obituary of Valentine Heidt
Valentine HEIDT, cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle, late of Regina (formally Mankota) passed away at the age of 99 on the morning of February 21, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife Laura Heidt (nee Patoine) and his six children Bruce, Rene (Nina), Cecile (Mario), Albert, Bernice and Rob. Valentine is preceded by his son Larry (Bonnie). Valentine leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Valentine will always be remembered for his ability to chat and make connections with anyone and everyone. His communication skills always allowed for his sense of humour and wit to shine through. Valentine’s passion for fishing meant that he could often be found casting his line into various waters. Although not always successful with a bountiful catch, he appreciated the peaceful tranquility and solitude provided by the surrounding nature. Through many family trials and tribulations, Valentine always served as a source of strength and support to his family.
