Obituary of Cliff SHENNER

It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Clifford Shenner on Friday June 14, 2013, at the age of 74 years. Cliff was born in Bengough, SK, on April 13, 1939, to Peter and Mary Shenner. He lived on the family farm at Viceroy until moving to Regina, SK as a young man. Cliff married Velma Shenner (nee Morrison) on August 8, 1959 and together they raised three children, Marlon, Laddie and Lindsey. Cliff was proud of his children and dearly loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Cliff loved to play sports. Baseball, golf, curling, hunting and fishing were a large part of his life. Many a weekend in the summer was spent at the ball diamond and many a night at the curling rink in the winter. Cliff also loved to build, he built their first home in Assiniboia and in later years a cabin at Thompson Lake. Cliff was predeceased by his son Marlon (2003); wife Velma in 2012; brother Lawrence in 2013 and brother-in-law Eldor and sister-in-law Lois. Cliff is survived by daughters Laddie (Lorne), Lindsey (Richard); daughter-in-law Shelley (Keith); grandchildren Kendel (Bond), Jacob (Alysha), Marshall, Joel, Landon (Ashley), Colby, Abby and Tyrel; great grandchildren Dayton and Zoe; brothers Eldon (Kit) and Phil (Judy) numerous relations and friends. Funeral Mass will be (or was) held on Tuesday July 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., at St. George Roman Catholic Church, Assiniboia, SK . Private family interment at Big Beaver Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Clifford can be made to the Bengough Park Board, Box 17, Bengough, SK S0H 0K0 and/or South County Health Care Foundation, Box 1750, Assiniboia, SK S0H 0B0 and are greatly appreciated.
