My Dearest Brother, Tigin. I can’t believe that the full moon is back already, tomorrow. This means it has been one month since I spent some time with you at the hospital. I feel so blessed for the memories we made in those few short days before you died. I got to see the old you, the comic with your expressive face. We had bursts laughter and moments of intimate conversation in between bouts of extreme agony and pain. For that, I will always be grateful Upon returning home, knowing that your time was near and waiting for the dreaded phone call, I spent some sleepless nights. One night in particular, I got up from bed and went to the living room where I saw a flood of light coming from the window. It was a nearly full moon. I stood appreciating its beauty when I saw your face in that man in the moon. The actual full moon happened on the day of your funeral. Needless to say, I will never look at the full moon the same again. It will always remind me of you and it will give me the opportunity to have a conversation with my brother. I will think of Tigin who was my mentor and inspiration and who is now another of my guides. You will never be forgotten. I will cherish the memories we made together. I love and miss you, Claudette.

So shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Deniis. He was a good friend and colleague for many years, and I still remember him warmly: whether it was playing pool, shooting baskets, listening to music, or having a few beverages. Denis was a good teacher who left his profession to renew his ties to the soil at the farm, and I remember with fondness his contribution to Hodgeville High School. Go gently into that good night old friend.
