Obituary of Pat Tendler

Patricia Elizabeth Tendler of Horizon, SK, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016, at the age of 70 years. Pat was born on January 15, 1946, in Assiniboia, SK to Michael and Josephine "Sophie" Klemenz, and was the fourth of eight daughters. Pat attended school in Horizon and Viceroy until grade 10, and enjoyed playing volleyball and babysitting throughout her high school years. Later on, she began working at the telephone office in Bengough. On October 23, 1965, Pat married Peter Tendler at St. Cunegunda Roman Catholic Church in Horizon. Pat and Peter were blessed with three children, Troy, Tim, and Tammy. They lived in Horizon until 1969, when they moved to the farm. In May 1987, Peter passed away. A couple years later Pat met a special friend, Hansel Weinmeister. Throughout the years Pat enjoyed bowling, gardening, playing cards, doing puzzles, selling Avon, doing plastic canvas, collecting salt and pepper shakers and bear ornaments, and of course being very vocal at her children and grandchildren's hockey games. Pat loved gardening, and especially liked 4 o'clock flowers and roses. She enjoyed spending time and visiting with family and friends. Pat shared many special memories with her children and grandchildren throughout the years. She was always willing and grateful to be involved in the lives of her grandchildren, whether it was watching their hockey games, school concerts, dance recitals, or even just grandparenting. Pat will be missed by her family and friends, and fond memories of her will be forever in their hearts. Patricia is survived by her loving family, son Troy (Elaine) Tendler, granddaughters Amber and Twylla (Justin); son Tim (Charlotte) Tendler, grandson Blaine (Genna), great grandson Bennett, grandsons Sheldon (Krystal), Lance (Chantel); daughter Tammy (Rod) Weinmeister, grandchildren Chantel (Drew), Catlin (Tenae), Rynae (Reid); sisters Adele (Dewey) Holt, Darlene Fohr, Bev (Grant) Hardie, Linda (Wilfred) Tendler, Bernice Klemenz, Bonnie Klemenz, Shelley Klemenz. Predeceased by her husband Peter Tendler (May 9, 1987); granddaughter Geena Tendler (1994); parents Mike and Sophie (nee Nagy) Klemenz; brothers-in-law Joe Fohr, Larry Brooks; special friend Hansel Weinmeister (2014). Funeral Service was held on Friday, August 12, 2016, at 1:00 p.m., at St. George's Roman Catholic Church, Assiniboia, SK. Celebrant was Ella Frank. Urn bearers were Pat's grandchildren. Interment took place at the Horizon Cemetery.
