Obituary of Nelson Crooks

Nelson passed away at Cedar Creek Assisted Living Facility, Lethbridge, AB following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 63 years old. Nelson was the third child of Ken and Mary (nee Cunningham) Crooks. He was born on June 27, 1955, in Lafleche. Nelson was a machinist and worked various jobs. In 2003, he started his own very successful business, ‘Laser Cut Manufacturing Ltd.’ in Saskatoon. He was especially close with his family, friends and his dogs. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and one of his favorite hobbies was cooking, he even took a cooking course. Whenever anyone visited Nelson they were fed like a king. Nelson worked hard and enjoyed his life. He will be dearly missed. Nelson is survived by his parents Ken and Mary Crooks of Lafleche; siblings Allan Crooks of Lafleche, Larry (Verlyn) Crooks of Lafleche, Kevin Crooks of Lafleche, Les (Shelly) Crooks of Regina, Darrell Crooks of Wymark, Heather Crooks of Regina, and Marty Crooks of Lafleche; many nieces and nephews.
