My deepest condolences to the family of Ivan Lawrence. I would like to share some comfort found in God's word, the Bible. Death is the worst thing humans are going through at the present. However, the Bible tells us in Revelation 21: 3,4 that "death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Verse 3 tells us why this beautiful promise will occur. There it says "God himself will be with [mankind]". You may wonder, however, about those who have already died. The Bible, yet again, gives response in Acts 24:15 saying "And I have hope toward God, hope these mean also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." So you see, Why would God cause the death of so many people, when God is love? The answer? He does not. Instead, you have read for yourself how he will eliminate death completely in his own due time, and will reverse it's terrible effects.
Psalm 37:29 tells us how life will be at that time. It states "The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it."
