Obituary of George CROISETIERE
George Henri Croisetière passed away peacefully, with family by his side, in the early morning hours of Monday, September 9, 2013 at the age of 95 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
George was born on April 1, 1918 in Plessis, Saskatchewan to Philias & Alphonsine. He grew up in Laflèche, Saskatchewan and was the oldest of three children.
George was married to Anita Cécile Clermont on October 23, 1939 in Lafleche. He worked in various places including a bakery, a general store and post office and with Paterson Grain Elevator Company until 1954 when he began working for Superior Motors/John Deere in Lafleche. In 1963, he moved his family to Moose Jaw, where he continued working for Nelson Bode/John Deere until his retirement in 1983. After 30 years with John Deere, he enjoyed spending countless hours with his family, working as a carpenter, playing cards, and working on his needle point.
George was a tender loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was the strong silent type, but his tender heart captured the attention of his family and friends. He had a way with everyone especially the little ones who were immediately drawn to him. His eyes lit up when family was around.
