Obituary of Louis Joseph Arthur Guy NOBERT

Joseph Louis Arthur Guy Nobert of Lafleche, SK, passed away on August 29, 2012, at the age of 77 years. Louis was bron in Gravelbourg, SK on March 25, 1935, to Arthur and Noella (nee Martel) Nobert. He was raised on the family farm and attended College Mathieu. Louis married Annette Paradis from Val Marie on July 15, 1958, and they were blessed with four children. After their marriage, Louis and Annette lived in Gravelbourg for a few months. They then moved to Val Marie, and lived in Calgary, Swift Current, and Hodgeville before returning to Gravelbourg. The summer of 1966 Louis and Annette moved a house to Lafleche and built on to it. Louis was a meat-cutter and manager at the Lafleche Co-op for many years before his retirement. Louis spent the past 11 years working as a Pest Control agent in the RMs of Stonehenge, Woodriver and Gravelbourg. Louis is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Annette (nee Paradis); daughter Jocelyne (Wayne) Brattland, grandchildren Jayne (Justin) Askildt, Kathryne Brattland, Jordyne Brattland; son Roger (Gail) Nobert, grandchildren Megan Nobert, Tyler Nobert, Garett Nobert, Hunter Nobert; daughter Suzanne (David) Thomas, grandchildren Nicole Thomas, Kimberly (Derek) Reid, Jenelle Thomas; daughter Doris (Lucien) Levesque; sisters Cecile (Louis) Laflamme, Aline (Norman) Piché; brothers Denis (Marie) Nobert, Henri (Antoinette) Nobert, Claude (Mildred) Nobert; sister-in-law Pauline Nobert; brothers-in-law Julien Piché, Oscar Fauchon; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Noella (nee Martel) Nobert; brothers André Nobert, Emile (Lucille) Nobert, Roland (Jean) Nobert, Leo Nobert, Marcel (Yvette) Nobert; sisters Yvonne and Marie in infancy, Collette (Bryce) Sommerfeldt, Jeannette (Ralph) Bucht, Jeanne Piché; brother-in-law Howard Sewell; grandson Cory Nobert. Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 1, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., from Ste Radegonde Roman Catholic Church, Lafleche, SK, with Father Maurice Minne celebrant. The cross bearer was Tyler Nobert. Readers were Kathryne Brattland and Jenelle Thomas. Intentions were shared by Simone Jones. Offertory gifts presented by Kimberly Reid and Garrett Nobert. Music by Jacqueline Poirier and Terry Kirkpatrick. Urn bearer was Jordyne Brattland. Honor guard was formed by the Knights of Columbus. Private family interment took place at the Lafleche Roman Catholic Cemetery, Lafleche, SK. Memorial tributes in memory of Louis to the Canadian Cancer Society, 61B Ross St. W., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 2M2 and Masses were greatly appreciated.
