Obituary of Patrick Francis Joseph CORCORAN
Patrick Francis Joseph Corcoran of Kincaid, SK, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2013, at the age of 79 years. Patrick was born on the family farm in the Bona Place District on June 1, 1933, one of twelve children born to Patrick and Louise (nee Benistant) Corcoran. Patrick married Irma Hovorka on November 22, 1955, and they were blessed with six children. In 1961, Patrick and Irma purchased a farm three miles south of Kincaid, where they raised cattle and farmed. Patrick's lifelong passion was farming, and he enjoyed attending auction sales, bull sales and cow sales. Their home was always open and could often be found filled with children, grandchildren and more recently, great grandchildren. Patrick liked to visit and always made sure that guests came into their home to reminisce and share a meal. Patrick was very patient and understanding man, who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.
Patrick will be missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Irma (nee Hovorka) Corcoran; sons, Bob (Mary) Corcoran, Don (Karen) Corcoran, Tim (Kathy) Corcoran; daughters, Rita (Wayne) Beaver, Marlene (Wayne) Barker, Kathy Ulm; 21 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; brothers, George Corcoran, Joe (Lila) Corcoran, Tom (Mae) Corcoran and Allan Corcoran; sisters, Sr. Ellen Corcoran and Mary Stuart. Predeceased by his parents Pat and Louise (nee Benistant) Corcoran; siblings George, Rita, Theresa Packet, Jim and John.
Prayers were held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2013, at the Kincaid Legion Hall and Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 18, 2013, at the Kincaid Community Rink. Celebrant was Father Franklin Emereuwa. The eulogy was prepared by the family and shared by Dennis Corcoran. Pallbearers were Buckley Corcoran, Joe Corcoran, Ashley Corcoran, Brad Beaver, Lee Barker and Calvin Ulm. Interment took place at the Kincaid Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Patrick to the Kidney Foundation of Saskatchewan, 1545C McAra St., Regina, SK S4N 6H4, were greatly appreciated.
