Je connais Mario depuis mes jours de participation au programme provincial des moniteurs de langue au début des années 80, quand j'étais étudiant à Saskatoon. I remember his warm smile and welcoming demeanour when I met him in the early 80s, as I enlisted in the provincial French language monitor program as a student at the U of S in Saskatoon. We crossed paths occasionally through the years. It was always a pleasant occasion. Mario had a knack for making people feel comfortable in unfamiliar settings.
