I will always remember Joanne from her days as church secretary. She was the smiling, joyful office presence who knew everything that was going on. She was a strong supporter of any activity happening there and would help in any way she could. Well done good and faithful servant. We will miss you greatly.

My condolences Walter and family.
Joanne was a great part of our community and will be sorely missed. She was dedicated to the Assiniboia Arts Council which I was a member of for over 10 years and I enjoyed her enthusiasm for the arts. Even when she wasn't feeling up to par you could find her in the Arts Council office dealing with daily issues.
Her involvement in the various organizations will miss her dedication to them.
May she rest in peace.

Joanne gave so much of her heart and time to our community through the arts council and the music festivals. I was so blessed to have worked with her in these capacities. She was encouraging to me, patient, kind, and above all was focused on her passion to promote quality art and music in our town. She was the backbone behind many young performers who have blessed our town, province, and nation with their skill. I will really miss Joanne, her huge smile, her enthusiasm, and her kindness. May the Lord bless her family with comfort at this time.

Walter, Brad, Pam and Brenda,
Greg and I send our condolences and huge hugs to you and yours with the passing of Joanne. So many fond memories growing up just down the street from you all! Remember the card nights in the duplex and us kids getting to have chips while our parents played cards? So many laughs, games of hospital and whatever else we played. I remember many shared meals at the new house too! Your mom’s kindness always extended to mom and dad and all of us. She will truly be missed!
All our love, Barb (Giroux) and Greg McInnis

To the dear family....so many wonderful memories of Joanne...where does one start....as a family you can be so proud of your wife and mom....everywhere I look at Messiah Lutheran Church I see Joanne from the Sunday School rooms upstairs the kitchen the office the educational unit the main church. She was wonderful at being so organized and keeping wonderful records. We felt we needed more time with her, our work wasn’t done with her. As her family I know there will be such a big void. We are just so sad for all of you. Rest In Peace our dear friend and will miss the chuckles.......Love Reg & Trudy....
