I'm just heart broken to have heard, just now, about Mike. I met Mike in '75. We dated for a few years and oh the stories I could tell and the photos I could show! He was a tire guy back then and worked for Harry. After about 1980 we lost touch. Every now and again his name would pop up in my memories. My condolences to the Samoisette family. Mike and I dated 40 years ago. He was funny, loveable, infuriating, and a time in my life I remember fondly. I remember going to a wedding with him in Gravelburg probably 1978. We hung out as a group, and had many adventures, card nights, parties. Rest softly Mikey.

To the family and friends of Mike! I’m so sorry to hear of your loss…Mike worked with me at WP Smith trucking for many years…he was always a hoot and laugh to be around… I remember when I first started trucking I was very green and Mike was an excellent driver compared to me at the time…and when unloading in a tricky yard, he waited and coached me through the yard and wouldn’t leave until I was comfortable! I always will remember that patient gesture in a challenging season in my life. I had great laughs with Mike…his funny,but stubborn personality…will be missed! I just talked to one of our drivers who said how much fun he was to deal with, and to joke around with. I also know he was proud of his son and would talk to me about him on a few occasions… I pray that the presence of The Lord Jesus would be near to all who knew him! Our deepest condolences and prayers over the family! Call out to Jesus and he will be near in the midst of Joy and loss! Sincerely, David and The WP Smith trucking family!
