Obituary of Barbara Langman

Barbara Ann Langman of Lafleche, SK passed away on August 3, 2022, at the age of 71 years. Barb was born on October 27, 1950, in Outlook, SK to Edwin and Jean Bell. Barb met Grant Langman and they were married on October 26, 1968. They lived in Fernie, BC before moving to Prince Albert, SK, where they resided until Grant’s parents passed away. Grant, Barbara and their children then moved back to Lafleche to take over the family farm. They operated a mixed farm with grain, cattle and horses. Barb obtained her journeyman cooks papers with which she worked at multiple health centres for over 40 years. The residents at the hospital always looked forward to when Barb was there as everything she prepared was from the heart. Barb had a passion for travel and had many friends near and far which she dearly loved. Barb is survived by her son Graeme (Vaughn), grandchildren Ryland (Bailey), Blake (Jenn), Brette (Brady Kowalchuk) and Layne (Shawna Pluecks); daughter Brooke (Kelsey), grandchildren Oakley and Kayley; great-grandchild Callie; brothers and sister Gary Bell, Dennis (Betty) Bell, Donna Oliver and Bruce Bell; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Grant (2011); daughter Teresa Carmen (1973); brother Bob Bell; parents Edwin and Jean (nee Gustafson) Bell. Barb’s life was celebrated with an intimate family graveside service on Friday, August 12, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lafleche Municipal Cemetery, Lafleche, SK with Reverend Janelle Shaw officiant. Active pallbearers were Ryland, Blake, Layne, Brette, Brady and Oakley.  Memorial tributes in memory of Barb to the Heart and Stroke Association of Saskatchewan were greatly appreciated.
