Margaret and Richard I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. We were very good friends years ago and I have thought of her often. She taught me so much.
She was a very special lady. We lost touch when I moved from Assiniboia. Maisie gave my oldest son a "Winnie the Pooh" book for his fourth birthday. He just found it tonight as his family is packing to move to a new house. He just turned forty in December. It made me
think of Massie again. Sometimes the internet is helpful. So sorry to read what I found. Richard, I think of you also and remember how you liked my nanimo bars. I hope you are doing ok at this sad time. I wish I would have found her one of the many times I thought of her. Time goes so fast and change is sometimes sad. So sorry for your loss.

Margaret & Richard My sincere condolences to you and your families at this time. I often think about life in Meyronne and how great it was to grow up in a small town vs the world of today. I go through there occasionally but so many places are hard to recognize. My thought and prayers are with you at this time. Sharon Stone

Childhood Memories

I grew up in Meyronne, Saskatchewan, where Maisie and her family lived on a farm just a little North of the village. Myself and two childhood (and present) friends would often walk out to Hanna's farm, for a little visit with Maisie...she would always let us gather eggs, or pick something from her garden, or do a little craft. We took piano lessons from her daughter Margaret. We always felt special and welcome there, no matter how busy Maisie was (and she always had many projects on the go, plus farm work of course and raising her children...)

Through Maisie, we attended summer camp at Camp Woodboia, where she was the inspiration and heart of the camp for many years... I have always known how important knowing Maisie was for us three girls, and how she enriched our lives and inspired us....she truly lived her life... thankful to have known her
