Laura and Don,
Bonnie shared the sad news of Donwyn's passing. I only visited with her once, but she left a lasting impression. Bonnie, Ruby, Dianne and I went down after church one Sunday. Donwyn was very welcoming. I could sense the close friendship shared by these women. During our visit she was determined and courageous -she had spunk.
Laura, I recall the story of you pulling off the road, the two of you climbing out of the car, stretching out in the grass and taking in the night sky. What a beautiful picture! What a special moment!
Donwyn will be missed.
May you be sustained at this time by the Peace that passes all understanding,
Pamela

Brian, Brad, Amy and families,Don and Laura and Don Christopher. Our heartfelt sympathy to you all. You have said farewell to one of the most precious people I know. I remember visiting her this past summer and was totally impressed by her usual sense of humor. Whenever I eat blueberries, I think of Donwyn. We loved her dearly.

Memories that last forever
Brian, Brad, Amy, Don, Laura, and Don Christopher,
and Families.
It is with a very heavy heart that we offer our heartfelt sympathies. Donwyn and I shared so many good times, hard times and everything in between. I think I could write a book of our adventures.
But when I sit writing and remebering there a a couple I would like to share.
I was in the Swift current hospital and just had Christin, and was in the recovery room. I heard the nurses calling Donwyn"s name, and to wake up. I was still groggy but said "I know her she is my friend wheel her here by me". They did, and and we held hands and cried. For the baby she had lost and the my baby that was born. Donwyn and Brian are Christin's Godparents.
A few years later, The 80's ladies lost one of our besties. Sandra was taken away from us. Donwyn and I were honoured to give the Eulogy at her funeral. We grieved but Donwyn stayed strong for me. She held me up and we wnt on. Then one day she drove up and told to get in the car we were going for a ride, I asked "where?" She said I would find out soon enough. She drove me to Sandy's grave and we sat in silence, and finally acceptance. She held me up.
Years later when Donwyn took ill, we were in Regina, she was going through radiation treatments. She was finished for the week so we headed home. We stopped in Moose Jaw for gas. I went in a paid. When I came back to the car there was Donwyn sitting in the driver's seat.I stopped for a moment and said "God help us". I jumped in the passenger seat, she looked at me with "That Look" and then smiled. No words were spoken. We took off down the highway, the radio blasting tunes, oldies but goodies. Donwyn remembered every word, and we drove a long a sang! Then after quite a few miles she pulled over, got out, came to the passenger side, we hugged, and we carried on our journey to home. That was the lastime Donwyn drove as far as I know.
I could go on forever, but I'll just sit here and remember.
We all have lost one of the most vibrant people we will ever know. Even when illness overtook her deep inside she was still Donwyn. The friend I loved.
Donwyn, God has a special place for you in heaven, you deserve it so much. Please say hello to Sandy and my mom "Lucille". They will take care of you.
Till we meet again.
Karen, Mel and Family
