Obituary of Donwyn Lucille SAYERS

Donwyn Lucille Sayers (nee Balas) of Kincaid, SK, left this life on March 26, 2013, at the Prairie View Health Centre in Mankota, SK, at the age of 57 years. Donwyn was born on April 23, 1955, in Kincaid, to Donald and Laura (nee Anderson) Balas. She married Brian Sayers in 1974, and they were blessed with two children. Donwyn was active in all aspects of their farm life, their community, O.S.A.C. and the Glencaid United Church. In 1995, Donwyn was stricken with a brain tumor; she survived and lived life as fully as she could. She was a hairdresser by trade and many folks were grateful for her expertise. Donwyn was especially proud of her church and her people. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Donwyn leaves to mourn her loving family, husband of 38 years Brian; son Brad (Crystal) and grandchildren Kyler, Carter and Ava; daughter Amy (Richard McDowell) and his children Jordan and Savannah; parents Don and Laura Balas; brother Don C. (Jennifer) and their children Elliot and Finley; sisters-in-law Betty and Janice (Ray) and their children and grandchildren; brother-in-law Don (Diana) and their family. Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., at the Glencaid United Church, Kincaid, SK, with Linda Stumpf, DLM, officiant. The eulogy was shared by Donwyn's dear and special friends, Bonnie Wilson, Ruby Ross and Diane Creasy. The Glencaid Church Choir was accompanied by pianist Mary Anderson. Urn bearer was Don C. Balas. Interment will take place at the Aneroid Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Donwyn to the Prairie View Health Centre, Box 392, Mankota, SK S0H 2W0, were greatly appreciated.
